We only service certain radio chassis (as those found on our site). WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY RADIOS IN FOR SERVICE WITHOUT A VALID RA#.

WE STRONGLY SUGGEST ADDING A USPS DELIVERY CONFIRMATION TO PACKAGES SO YOU CAN SEE "IF WE REC'D IT!" In over 20 years we've gotten every package sent to us with the correct address! So print neatly and keep the 100% track record alive!
SEND NO MOUNTING BRACKETS, THUMB SCREWS, MICS, or Power Cords (unless service is needed), or any items besides the radio. Please do not send the original box. While we try to keep your box it is very easy to get lost and/or tossed in the trash. SO PLEASE IF YOU SEND THE ORIGINAL BOX we are not responsbile if it gets lost.
Please ship your item only USPS = US MAIL. We do not accept any radios via any other carrier. This is for security purposes. (we do not want UPS leaving your item in our lobby and it getting stolen!)
Please make sure your item is well packaged. We receive items that get damaged because of poor packing.
Please NEVER include any form of payment inside the box. We will call for payment when done. If other arrangements need to be made we'll be glad to help you the best we can when your item is all done.
If your radio was not purchased from RAR be advised the SuperWackPack is required on all outgoing radios at a cost of only $99.99. When a radio leaves here it works right. Things such as blown LEDs, finals, light bulbs, issues that come up on the bench, etc. will be repaired and addressed in your bill. As a true technical shop we have no problems repairing any issues that your radio has. Only if repairs exceed common issues found in this field we will notify you before we proceed with the repair. In all other cases we always repair what needs to get fixed. We do not call for approval, this is way too time consuming. However we've been writing repair bills on thousands of radios, and haven't gotten this far trying to nickel and dime anyone.
Kindly remember that calling and emailing about the "status" of your repair doesn't speed us up, it slows us down alot. We don't get paid till your item is done, so we want to do it in a very timely fashion. Radios coming in for just mods will be a lot faster than radios coming in for hardcore technical service.
Radios that come in with intermittent issues CAN AND WILL TAKE LONGER then normal repairs. About the hardest thing for a tech to solve is a radio that comes in that doesn't malfunction on our bench. You must be patient when sending us in a intermittent radio. The more information we have about the issue, the more helpful it is to our techs. We use EXTENSIVE test equipment on our bench. We aren't the type of shop that just uses a watt meter on a live antenna, and have a few screwdrivers. We use a Agliant Communications Test Center, with Spectrum Analyzer, Tektronics O-Scopes, Calibrated Bird Meters into Bird Loads and more. We even deep freeze radios, and heat gun them when needed. We have the knowledge and test equipment to solve repair problems. There are few real repair shops (shops that do hardcore repairs!) left in the industry, therefore we stay busy! The more info you provide on a intermittent issue the better for our techs so please let us know when, how, why, how often the issue is happening.
Calling, and emailing about status doesn't speed us up at all. Every second a tech is off the bench to answer a non technical question slows them down alot! We'll try our best to get your radio done in a timely fashion.
